Celebrating The Easter Season – 2026

Theme: Because He lives, I can face tomorrow with Courage and Joy.

The sweetness of God is found in Jesus’ Resurrection. Because He lives, I can face each day with courage and joy. O, how sweet it is to be loved by God (John 3:16). ‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus … Oh, for grace to trust Him more.

The theme reminds us that because He lives, we find strength and hope to greet each new day with confidence. It’s a warm, heartfelt message of faith and resilience, encouraging us to remain hopeful and positive no matter what challenges we may face.

The Easter season, known as Eastertide, begins on Easter Sunday and concludes 50 days later on Pentecost.

Let Us Pray – Together

A heartfelt prayer to start Eastertide, inviting us all to embrace this joyful season with open hearts and hopeful spirits. May it inspire us to find peace and renewed faith as we journey together through this special time.

Eastertide Prayer  – He is Risen Indeed

Father, we thank You for Jesus, whom You sent into the world to save us. He came to conquer death and the grave, filling the world with resurrection joy. As we celebrate this holy first week of Easter, we thank You for the victory of His sacrifice. May the light of His resurrection inspire hope and peace in our hearts. Help us to be witnesses to our new life, carrying hope to a world that needs Your truth. Keep us close to You as we live as new creations, joyfully proclaiming, “He is risen indeed!”  In Jesus Name, Amen.

A Sincere Prayer for Courage and Joy

Father, thank You for the incredible victory of the Resurrection. I humbly ask that You fill me with Your Holy Spirit and grant me the courage of the early disciples to share the Resurrection of Jesus with joy. Help me overcome my fear of rejection or indifference. Please give me the opportunity and courage to testify that Jesus is alive and has graciously transformed my life. May Your resurrection power fill me with boldness to speak Your word to those around me, so they, too, can experience Your salvation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Daily Prayers For Christ’s Sake

  1. Father, for the sake of Your Beloved Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, help me to become a bold and compelling witness to His resurrection. Amen
  2. Father, in the Name of Jesus, let the power of Your Resurrection permeate my life for Christ’s sake. Amen
  3. Father, for the sake of your Beloved Son, have mercy on us and forgive us, as we have not loved you with our whole hearts and have not loved our neighbors as we should have. Amen

And now Father, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord, my Rock and Redeemer. (Psalm 19: 14) ESV

Psalm 16

You Will Not Abandon My Soul

A Miktam[a] of David.

Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
    I have no good apart from you.”

As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones,
    in whom is all my delight.[b]

The sorrows of those who run after[c] another god shall multiply;
    their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out
    or take their names on my lips.

The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup;
    you hold my lot.
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

I bless the Lord who gives me counsel;
    in the night also my heart instructs me.[d]
I have set the Lord always before me;
    because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being[e] rejoices;
    my flesh also dwells secure.
10 For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol,
    or let your holy one see corruption.[f]

11 You make known to me the path of life;
    in your presence there is fullness of joy;
    at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
