Redemption establishes ownership—but resurrection establishes relationship.
We are not only purchased—we are adopted.
“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” — 1 John 3:1 (NKJV)
“…that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” — (ESV)
From Seed to Family
The wheat metaphor continues.
The seed that died (Christ) did not just produce a harvest—He produced a family.
We are not random crops in a field.
We are sons and daughters in the Kingdom of God.
“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” — Galatians 3:26 (NKJV/ESV)
Relationship, Not Religion
A seed grows because it is connected to its source.
Likewise, our identity is not built on performance—but on relationship.
- We are known
- We are loved
- We are accepted
“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” — Romans 8:16 (NKJV/ESV)
Growing as His Children
Children grow. They mature. They bear resemblance.
As “children of the corn,” we:
- Reflect His character
- Carry His Spirit
- Continue His work in the earth
Reflection
- Are you relating to God as a servant trying to earn—or as a child who already belongs?
Prayer
Father, In the Name of Jesus
Thank You for calling me Your child.
Help me to live in the security of Your love.
Teach me Your truth so that I may grow closer to You daily.
Amen.
