Children of the Corn: A Reason to Rejoice—Celebrate, Live Free, Love Free, Give Free
Eastertide is a season of joy because the harvest is alive.
We are not waiting for life—we are living it now.
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — Romans 5:1 (NKJV/ESV)
The Joy of the Harvest
When a farmer sees the harvest, there is rejoicing. Why?
Because what was planted has produced.
Jesus was planted in death—but raised in glory.
And now we stand as the evidence.
A Life That Celebrates
Because of the resurrection:
- We Live Free
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free…” — Galatians 5:1 (NKJV)
- We Love Free
“We love Him because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19 (NKJV/ESV)
- We Give Free
“Freely you have received, freely give.” — Matthew 10:8 (NKJV)
- We Rejoice Always
“Rejoice always.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:16 (ESV)
The Freedom of the Field
A healthy field does not compete—it produces together.
Across cultures, nations, and generations—this harvest is global.
From Somalia to Mississippi—
the same risen Savior, the same living harvest.
Reflection
- Are you living like the harvest is already here—or waiting as if it hasn’t come?
Prayer
Dear Lord,
Teach me to rejoice in what You have already done.
Let my life reflect freedom, love, and generosity.
I celebrate because You live.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
