The Christmas season unites Christians from all walks of life to celebrate the most important event in history: the birth of Jesus Christ. It’s a time for rejoicing, not only in His first coming but also in the hope of His Second Coming. As we celebrate this season, it’s vital to remember why Jesus is the reason for the season—both His birth in Bethlehem and His promised return in glory.

This blog celebrates the multicultural and interracial unity of Christians around the world. No matter our backgrounds, we are united in Christ’s birth and His ultimate return, and this shared hope is a reason for believers across every culture to rejoice.

1. The Birth of Jesus: A Fulfillment of Prophecy

• Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem was not accidental—it fulfilled ancient prophecies passed down through generations of God’s people.

• Jesus’ arrival was a significant event in history, signaling the start of God’s plan to save humanity through His Son.

Key Scriptures:

  • Isaiah 7:14: “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”
  • Micah 5:2: “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

Jesus’ birth fulfilled promises made to all nations, and His coming was a sign of God’s love for the world, not just one people group.

2. Jesus’ Birth Brings Salvation for All People

The message of Jesus’ birth is clear: salvation has arrived for everyone. Jesus’ birth marked the moment when God entered the human story, bringing hope, redemption, and eternal life to every individual—regardless of race, nationality, or background.

• His birth was a gift to the world, and this was the message the angels announced to the shepherds on that first Christmas night.

Key Scripture:

  • Luke 2:11: “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
  • John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Jesus’ mission goes beyond borders. He came for all nations, all cultures, and all people, offering salvation to anyone willing to accept it.

3. The 12 Days of Christmas: A Celebration of Jesus’ Birth and the Hope of His Return

The 12 Days of Christmas symbolize more than just holiday fun—they represent the ongoing celebration of Christ’s birth and the anticipation of His Second Coming. Each day of Christmas points to the hope that Jesus, who was born as a humble child, will return in glory to establish God’s eternal kingdom.

• Christians of every culture and background can find joy in the fact that, just as Jesus was born in humble circumstances, He will return as King and Judge to bring justice, peace, and restoration.

Key Scripture:

  • Titus 2:13: “While we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
  • Revelation 19:11-16: “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True…On his robe and on his thigh, he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”

For Christians, the 12 Days of Christmas remind us that our faith is not just about reflecting on the birth of Jesus, but also about eagerly anticipating His return to make all things new.

4. Jesus is the Light of the World for All Nations. In a world filled with darkness, Jesus came as the light — a light for everyone. This is the message Christians from every race and culture can cling to, knowing that Jesus’ birth lights the way to peace, joy, and eternal life. • No matter where we come from, the light of Christ unites us all, guiding us on the path to God.

Key Scripture:

  • John 8:12: “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”
  • Matthew 4:16: “The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned.”

In the global family of believers, we celebrate that Jesus came to be the light for everyone, from every corner of the Earth.

5. The Second Coming: The Ultimate Cause for Joy

As we celebrate the First Coming of Christ, we must remember the promise of His Second Coming. The joy we feel at Christmas is not only a celebration of what Jesus has already done but also the hope of what is still to come: His return to bring perfect justice, peace, and reconciliation to the world.

• The Second Coming will fulfill God’s plan to restore all creation, bringing a new heaven and a new earth where there will be no more pain, suffering, or death.

Key Scriptures:

  • Acts 1:11: “Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”
  • Revelation 21:1-4: “Then I saw ‘a new heaven and a new earth,’ for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away…He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

At Christ’s return, every culture, tribe, and nation will rejoice as we enter the eternal kingdom He has promised.

Final Thoughts: A Global Celebration of Christ’s Love

No matter where we come from, Jesus’ birth reminds us of God’s great love for all people. Christmas is not just for one culture or race, but for all of humanity. We are all invited into the joy, peace, and hope that come from Jesus Christ, who was born to bring salvation to the world.

As we celebrate Christmas, let’s remember the Second Coming—the ultimate reason we have to rejoice. Jesus is coming back to establish His kingdom forever. Until then, we live with the hope and joy that His first coming brought into our lives.

Let us rejoice together—no matter where we come from or what language we speak, we are united in the love of Christ, who is the reason for this season and every season to come.

Merry Christmas, and may the hope of Christ’s return fill you with peace and joy!
