God’s love is unconditional. His grace and mercy cannot be outgrown, outpaced, or overturned by human failure.

So too, when the ashes are washed away, and the fast is broken, the work of Lent continues—in justice, in reconciliation, in courageous love that refuses to surrender to fear.
